Hello.
I'm having a small problem with a Golf 4, manufactured in 2001, with an AXP engine, and 88,000 km on the odometer.
He has been showing the MIL (Message Indicator Light) for some time now, and is exhibiting the two errors listed below.
Okay, I unplugged it and measured the heating element with a multimeter. The result: an open circuit.
Okay, the sensor is defective, a new one has been ordered, installed, but two days later the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is back on and the errors are present again.
"New sensor measured, result: 2.3 ohms, which should be correct. Cable from the control unit to the sensor measured, no breaks detected. Fuse 43 is also okay."
Conclusion: The system incorrectly identifies errors where none exist.
Question: Is there still a software update available for the engine control unit (ECU), or is it already running the latest version?
