Hello!
Is the procedure for the 0BT 7-speed DSG DQ500 in the T5.2 identical to that from the article (/viewtopic.php?t=27262&highlight=dsg+grundeingabe) for the 0AM on the transverse engine?
Thank you.
Tobias

Hi, please perform an auto-scan. Then I will use it to inquire with the manufacturer. Without the VAG part number, nothing works!
Best regards, Rainer Kaufmann

Thank you for sending us your question and also thank you for including the vehicle's Auto-Scan. The Basic Settings procedure does not appear to be the same for the [0AM] and the [0BT] 7-Speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) transmissions. As far as I can tell, the [0AM] are non-UDS controllers, and the [0BT] is using a UDS controller.
See the wiki page for the [0AM] Basic Settings.
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/7-Speed_Direct_Shift_Gearbox_(DSG/0AM)
If you wish, the following procedure is for UDS Controllers and is NOT fully tested, and should be used at your own risk.
[0BT - Basic Settings Procedure]
- Procedure for adapting UDS Controllers to a standstill
Prerequisites:
- Transmission fluid temperature between 30°C - 100°C
- Do NOT continue if the temp is out of specs! -
- Advanced Measuring Values = [Control Module temperature]
- Selector lever in [P]
- Engine idle speed, do not press accelerator pedal
- Parking brake and foot brake were applied throughout the entire procedure
- Note: Not all transmission controllers support this function
0BT - Basic Settings Procedure
- Make sure all the Prerequisites are followed, important! - The brake pedal must be depressed throughout the entire procedure.
[Select]
[02 - Transmission]
[Basic Settings - UDS]
- Select [Basic settings of transmission]
Next click [Show Measuring Data] and select:
- [Engine speed]
- [Main status of abort code basic setting]
- [Basic settings status]
- [Status of basic setting data for clutch]
- [Status of basic setting data; gear selector]
- [Basic setting for abort code]
Then press [Go!]
- During the basic setting procedure, there may be some loud gear shifting noises from the transmission, this is normal.
Basic settings may not complete successfully if:
- The fluid temperature gets too hot.
- Brake released
Once completed, there should be an indication of this in the [Status of Basic Settings].
Then click - [Done, Go Back] and Check for fault codes. |
Thank you for sending your question and also for including the vehicle scan. The procedure for the basic settings appears to differ for the 7-speed manual transmission (DSG) models [0AM] and [0BT].
As far as I can see, the [0AM] non-USD controllers and the [0BT] use a UDS controller.
On the Wiki page, you can find the basic settings for [0AM].
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/7-Speed_Direct_Shift_Gearbox_(DSG/0AM)
If you wish, we have the following procedure for UDS controllers, but it is NOT fully tested and can be used at your own risk.
[0BT - Basic Setup Procedure]
- Standby adaptation procedures for UDS controllers
Requirements:
- Transmission oil temperature between 30°C - 100°C
- Do NOT continue if the temperature is outside the specifications! -
- Expanded Measurement Values = [Temperature of the control module]
- Gear lever in [P].
- Engine idle speed, with the accelerator pedal not depressed.
- Parking brake and foot brake must be applied throughout the entire process.
- Note: Not all gear shift controls support this function.
0BT - Basic Settings Procedure
- Make sure all requirements are met, very important! - The brake pedal must be pressed throughout the entire process.
[Select]
(02 - Transmission)
[Basic Settings - UDS]
- Select [Basic Transfer Settings].
Click on [Show Measurement Data] and select:
- [Engine Speed]
- [Main status for the abort code]
- [Default Settings Status]
- [Status of base settings for the clutch]
- Status of base settings; Gear selector]
- [Default Status of Abort Code]
Then press [Start!].
- During the initial setup, you may hear loud gear noises from the transmission, which is normal.
The initial settings may not be successfully completed if:
- The liquid temperature is getting too high.
- Brake is released
Upon completion, this should be displayed in the [Status der Grundeinstellungen] section.
Click then on -[Finish, Back] and look for error codes.
