Hello everyone,

After replacing the motor pump unit (manufacturer: TRW), including the control unit for power steering, on a Polo 6R1, I am unfortunately unable to correctly configure the control unit because the LogIn option is not displayed in VCDS.

Can anyone help me with this? Is there a way to find the login information?

Thank you in advance!

After reviewing your scan, I have the following comments:

1. Address 56: Radio.
"This indicates low voltage."

Is your battery okay?

2. Address 44: Steering assist.
Clearly, there's a power outage.

Check the sensor and inspect the lines for damage.

Are the part numbers identical? Were new or used parts installed?
Viele Grüße
Andreas

The undervoltage has probably been stored for quite some time.

The problem was the power steering control unit, including the pump. We completely replaced it. The steering is now working perfectly again. However, the correct coding was missing for the new control unit. That's also why there was an error with the sensor. This sensor is not even installed on my Polo, and I wanted to properly code it using VCDS, but I can't access the coding section because I don't have the login credentials.

Due to a lack of time, I had to have it programmed by a professional this time. Everything is working again now.

Why doesn't the login code sometimes appear? If it did, I could have coded it myself. Or is this code stored somewhere? It would be great to know. Thanks anyway!

Hello,

Login codes are usually stored in the label file for the respective control unit. Sometimes, it can also be helpful to check the label file for a technically similar control unit.
-> Always include the Autoscan results so it's clear which control units are being discussed.

Best regards, Rainer.
