Hello everyone,

After replacing the engine pump assembly (manufacturer: TRW) including the steering assist control unit on a Polo 6R1, I unfortunately cannot correctly adapt the control unit, as the "Login" is not displayed in VCDS.

Can anyone help me with this? Is there a way to find the login?

Thank you in advance!

After reviewing your scan, I have the following notes:

1. Address 56: Radio
Here, low voltage is indicated.

Is your battery okay?

2. Address 44: Steering Aid
Clearly a line break.

Check the sensor and inspect the cables for damage.

Are the part numbers identical? Were new or used parts installed?
Viele Grüße
Andreas

The low voltage is likely already established.

The problem was the power steering control unit, including the pump. We completely replaced it. The steering now works perfectly again. However, the new control unit was missing the correct coding. That's why there was also an error with the sensor. This isn't even installed in my Polo, and I wanted to use VCDS to properly code it, but I can't get into the coding because I don't have a login.

Due to a lack of time, I had to have it coded by the dealer. Everything is working again.

Why is the login code sometimes not displayed? Then I could have generated it myself. Or is this code stored somewhere? That would be great to know. Thank you anyway!

It is likely that the undervoltage has been set for some time.

Hello,

Login codes are usually stored in the label file for the corresponding control device. Sometimes, looking up information in a label file for a technically similar control device can also be helpful.
-> Always post the car scan, so it's clear which components are being affected.

Best regards, Rainer
