Hello,
I wanted to ask if there are any important MKB codes (error codes and target values) missing from the error database (ARL is already at the top of my list). Tschüss

Hi Michael,
"You listed automatic transmission as an option for the AXR. When will the automatic transmission be available? Currently, the D4 is only offered with a manual transmission." Gruß Bertil

Hello Bertil,
Unfortunately, I don't know when or if that will be included in D4. Tschüss

Hello Michael,
"Again, there have been repeated requests for login codes related to engine settings."
For example, with some PDs, you can probably access the menu using known logins, but changes to the settings are blocked .
I would suggest that, for the motors where not everything works correctly (with the code 12233), we should list the specific codes (potentially different for each channel) that apply to each motor. Gruß Ulf

Hello,
The login code 12233 is actually an undocumented function and is not considered in the standard documentation from VAG.
The adjustment being made primarily concerns the idle speed setting on certain engine control units (ECUs), where no login is required.
As mentioned before, this feature doesn't work with all ECUs. Unfortunately, I don't have information about whether there are other codes that might work. It's also possible that this function is simply not intended for certain ECUs for various reasons. Tschüss

Hello Michael II!
Okay, I'm personally still interested in the 1.4 AMF, even though I suspect not many of you here have one. But still, if you could find something related to that, it would be great. I, at least, haven't found anything through my searches...
Your collection of error descriptions and solutions is truly excellent. I'd like to express a huge thank you on behalf of the entire forum! It's really fantastic, especially the documentation you've added in the last few days.
Take care.

Hello Michael,
ASZ is not included either. It would be great if there were some values available for that.

Sure, here's the translation:
'super thx' translates to 'super thanks' or 'really thanks.' It's a casual and informal way of expressing gratitude.

Hi Michael,
That would mean that, for example, adjusting the injection start timing, the EGR rate, or shifting the stored pump characteristic curve (to fix minor jerking issues), or correcting the starting fuel quantity are not official workshop procedures .
While these options could, in my opinion, be used to address not only issues like jerky movements and starting problems, but also to mitigate "critical" exhaust emissions?
Well, that kind of makes sense, in a way.
"Replacing old, broken parts" instead of trying to bring them back into normal operating ranges through software is more attractive for workshops = it generates more revenue and requires less thinking . Gruß Ulf

Hello Ulf,
I believe that VAG has good reasons for not making this an official tool. If you use these parameters, you should also be aware of the consequences. Especially since some of the effects are not immediately obvious (as is the case with an idle speed adaptation).
However, this would cause more problems for the existing installers than it would solve. The replacement option is not only more economically beneficial for the VAG group, but it also avoids fewer issues. Tschüss

Hello Michael,
I have put the most important part of your answer in bold.
He's addressing a problem that most people here are probably already very familiar with.
I'm just wondering: if we, mostly amateurs, manage to use VAGCOM effectively in our free time, why does it seem impossible to train the professionals in the workshops so that "failures" are the exception, but not (as my personal impression is) the rule? Gruß Ulf

Hello Ulf,
I think we're interested in finding a solution here, especially since these are our own cars. When it comes to our own vehicles, people are usually willing to think things through more carefully. Tschüss

Hello Michael,
This effect is widely known.
Nevertheless, it seems quite embarrassing for well-paid professionals when their highest corporate leadership = VAG, as your statements suggest, apparently (for good reason!) does not trust them to properly use digital tools in their own area of responsibility for troubleshooting, tools that are mastered by interested amateur autodidacts without causing damage }.
