Sharan II (7N): Gearbox Neutral Position

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I'm having a problem with my car and can't proceed. The target and actual values for gear recognition in my Sharan were different (at least the value when it was in neutral; the value only matched when I pushed the gear lever to the right).

A friend who has a workshop kindly lent me his VCDS device, and I found the adjustment/basic setting called "Transmission Neutral Position." Of course, I immediately started the process. When I press "Start" there, 2-3 texts appear in green very quickly one after another, and at the end it says "Finished." However, the values now only show 0.

I can't imagine being able to calibrate this sensor without somehow interacting with my gear stick. It must know which gear is engaged and when it's in neutral, right?

I have a 6-speed manual transmission!

Can someone help me with that? That would be really great!
