Sharan II (7N) Gear - Neutral Position

Hello dear community,

Unfortunately, I'm having a problem with my car and can't get it to work. The "should be" and "actual" values for gear detection in my Sharan were different (at least when in neutral; the value only matched when I pushed the gear stick to the right).

A friend who has a workshop then kindly provided me with his VCDS, and I found the "Gear Neutral Position" adjustment/initialization, and, of course, I immediately started with it. When I press "Start" there, 2-3 following texts appear in green, and at the end it says "Finished". The values now only show 0.

However, I can't imagine being able to activate this sensor without affecting my gearshift, it needs to know which gear is which and when it's in neutral, right?

I have a 6-speed manual transmission!

Could someone please help me with that? That would be really great!
